Dr. Conan Shaw is a Functional Medicine Practitioner and Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist with over 25 years of practice experience. Dr. Shaw works with individuals to help them achieve their health goals, often when their health goals seem out of reach. With the use of an integrated medical approach, he specializes in treating the “why” behind health issues ranging from Immune Deficiencies, to a Slow Metabolism, from Cancer to Chronic Fatigue and from complex Auto-Immune Disease, Lyme Disease and Mold Born Illness. Dr. Shaw was hired as the Clinical Nutritionist for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2014 and has works with patients at any level in their heath journey to optimize quality of life and improve health outcomes.
A 1998 graduate of Logan College, Dr. Shaw was the recipient of the “Clinical Science Division Award of Excellence”. Shortly after graduating he accepted a position in a multidisciplinary Wellness Clinic where he specialized in integrating alternative nutritional therapies with traditional medical treatments. In 2001, following his three year post graduate studies in Clinical Nutrition, Dr. Shaw started private practice in Cranberry Township, PA.
He has a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology (BS), is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (DC), is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) and Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP).
Dr. Shaw Is a board Certified Clinical Nutritionist with the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists, a founding member of the I.S.E.A.I, International Society of Environmentally Acquired Illness and member of the Institute of Functional Medicine.
