Monolaurin is a chemical derived from lauric acid and glycerin, and is a byproduct of coconut fat.
Clinically Monolauren is often used for preventing and treating viral infections (the common cold), flu (influenza), swine flu, herpes, shingles, and other infections.
It is also used to treat chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and to boost the immune system.
